Bastiaan Steffens

Having completed my RMA degree in the archaeology of Late Prehistoric Europe at Leiden University, I have recently started a position as a PhD-researcher at Leicester University. I am also active as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the same university. My interests are mainly focussed on Bronze Age north-western Europe, and include settlement archaeology and landscape archaeology. My PhD research focusses on uses of the past in the past in the Bronze Age, wherein I try to overcome the bias on monuments for investigating the past in the past by also using evidence from settlement archaeology.
